Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology , Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:UNPI ), which rose 6.37% or 0.61 points to trade at 10.11 at the close. Meanwhile, Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI ) added 4.94% or 0.09 points to end at 1.96 and Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT:GASI ) was up 3.22% or 0.81 points to 25.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI ), which fell 3.36% or 0.87 points to trade at 24.90 at the close. Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI ) declined 2.56% or 0.20 points to end at 7.60 and Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE ) was down 2.02% or 8.60 points to 416.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 250 to 207 and 55 ended unchanged.
Shares in Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:UNPI ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 6.37% or 0.61 to 10.11. Shares in STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI ) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.36% or 0.87 to 24.90. Shares in Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI ) fell to 3-years lows; losing 2.56% or 0.20 to 7.60. Shares in Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT:GASI ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.22% or 0.81 to 25.98.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.36% or 0.92 to $68.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.16% or 0.83 to hit $72.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 2.40 to trade at $2,608.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.44% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 100.43.
