Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Chemicals and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY ), which rose 2.11% or 1.36 points to trade at 65.82 at the close. Meanwhile, UniCredit SpA (BIT:CRDI ) added 1.64% or 0.61 points to end at 37.87 and ERG (BIT:ERG ) was up 1.25% or 0.30 points to 24.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII ), which fell 3.11% or 0.19 points to trade at 6.04 at the close. Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM ) declined 1.50% or 0.21 points to end at 13.78 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI ) was down 1.34% or 0.10 points to 7.23.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 244 to 217 and 49 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.07% or 1.48 to $70.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.60% or 1.19 to hit $73.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 3.90 to trade at $2,680.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.32% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 100.51.
