Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms , Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were BriQ Properties REIC (AT:BRIQr ), which rose 0.76% or 0.02 points to trade at 1.99 at the close. Meanwhile, Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr ) added 0.72% or 0.01 points to end at 1.67 and Ideal Group SA (AT:IDEr ) was up 0.68% or 0.04 points to 5.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr ), which fell 4.64% or 0.16 points to trade at 3.29 at the close. Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr ) declined 2.76% or 0.06 points to end at 1.94 and Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr ) was down 2.71% or 0.09 points to 3.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 106 to 17 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.27% or 6.90 to $2,536.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.12% or 0.08 to hit $65.67 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.19% or 0.13 to trade at $69.06 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.44% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 101.69.
