Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms , Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr ), which rose 2.59% or 0.03 points to trade at 1.19 at the close. Meanwhile, Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr ) added 2.03% or 0.55 points to end at 27.65 and Premia AE (AT:PREMr ) was up 1.29% or 0.02 points to 1.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr ), which fell 3.98% or 0.39 points to trade at 9.40 at the close. Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr ) declined 3.03% or 0.40 points to end at 12.80 and Titan Cement International SA (AT:TITCr ) was down 2.58% or 0.90 points to 34.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 76 to 42 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Premia AE (AT:PREMr ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.29% or 0.02 to 1.26.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.08% or 2.20 to $2,671.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.81% or 2.67 to hit $72.77 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 3.42% or 2.53 to trade at $76.43 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP rose 0.99% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 101.79.
