Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking , Construction and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 1.22%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr ), which rose 8.64% or 0.12 points to trade at 1.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr ) added 4.65% or 0.14 points to end at 3.15 and National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr ) was up 4.46% or 0.32 points to 7.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Optima bank SA (AT:OPTIMAr ), which fell 2.55% or 0.34 points to trade at 13.00 at the close. Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr ) declined 1.31% or 0.13 points to end at 9.77 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr ) was down 0.93% or 0.05 points to 5.31.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 75 to 39 and 27 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.37% or 9.75 to $2,655.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.14% or 0.10 to hit $71.10 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.15% or 0.11 to trade at $73.80 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.51% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 100.54.
