Greece stocks higher at close of trade; Athens General Composite up 0.63%

Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Construction , Banking and Travel sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.63%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr ), which rose 3.31% or 0.24 points to trade at 7.49 at the close. Meanwhile, Intralot (AT:INLr ) added 3.19% or 0.04 points to end at 1.17 and Public Power (AT:DEHr ) was up 3.11% or 0.35 points to 11.62 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr ), which fell 2.99% or 0.40 points to trade at 13.00 at the close. J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr ) declined 0.90% or 0.01 points to end at 1.33 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr ) was down 0.82% or 0.02 points to 2.42.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 72 to 40 and 23 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.28% or 7.30 to $2,605.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.90% or 0.63 to hit $70.51 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.84% or 0.62 to trade at $74.27 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 100.68.
