Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Construction , Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr ), which rose 4.65% or 0.15 points to trade at 3.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Intralot (AT:INLr ) added 3.48% or 0.04 points to end at 1.19 and Optima bank SA (AT:OPTIMAr ) was up 2.66% or 0.32 points to 12.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centric Hold (AT:DESr ), which fell 2.69% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.33 at the close. Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:DIMANDr ) declined 1.92% or 0.19 points to end at 9.69 and Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (AT:OLTr ) was down 1.91% or 0.40 points to 20.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 61 to 56 and 27 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.28% or 7.25 to $2,553.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.15% or 2.36 to hit $77.19 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 2.58% or 2.02 to trade at $80.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 100.61.
