Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking , Construction and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr ), which rose 4.49% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr ) added 3.70% or 0.08 points to end at 2.10 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH ) was up 3.13% or 0.18 points to 5.94 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr ), which fell 1.69% or 0.17 points to trade at 9.89 at the close. Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr ) declined 1.57% or 0.05 points to end at 3.14 and Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (AT:OTEr ) was down 1.52% or 0.23 points to 14.94.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 66 to 48 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.22% or 31.20 to $2,516.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.49% or 1.07 to hit $73.00 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.47% or 1.12 to trade at $77.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.43% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 101.39.
