Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Construction , Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr ), which rose 4.35% or 0.14 points to trade at 3.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr ) added 4.35% or 0.09 points to end at 2.04 and Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:MTDr ) was up 1.97% or 0.05 points to 2.59 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elinoil Hellenic Petroleum Company SA (AT:ELIr ), which fell 2.31% or 0.05 points to trade at 2.11 at the close. Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr ) declined 1.47% or 0.03 points to end at 2.01 and Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr ) was down 1.42% or 0.01 points to 0.83.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 69 to 48 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.69% or 17.40 to $2,555.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.15% or 1.60 to hit $76.12 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.71% or 1.33 to trade at $78.91 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.45% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 101.41.
