Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX up 0.09%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Food & Beverages , Transportation & Logistics and Telecoms sectors led shares higher while losses in the Construction , Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 0.09% to hit a new all time high, while the MDAX index fell 0.22%, and the TecDAX index fell 0.43%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn ), which rose 1.99% or 0.62 points to trade at 31.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (ETR:DHLn ) added 1.33% or 0.52 points to end at 39.72 and Munich Reinsurance (ETR:MUVGn ) was up 1.27% or 6.20 points to 495.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p ), which fell 4.73% or 11.80 points to trade at 237.60 at the close. Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG ) declined 3.11% or 0.73 points to end at 22.71 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG ) was down 2.69% or 14.60 points to 527.40.

The top performers on the MDAX were Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:TKAG ) which rose 3.32% to 3.30, Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:AT1 ) which was up 2.83% to settle at 2.36 and LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:LEGn ) which gained 2.02% to close at 88.82.

The worst performers were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG ) which was down 6.32% to 31.74 in late trade, Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC ) which lost 3.82% to settle at 121.00 and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn ) which was down 3.11% to 16.81 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Atoss Software AG (ETR:AOFG ) which rose 2.31% to 142.00, Freenet AG NA (ETR:FNTGn ) which was up 1.21% to settle at 26.68 and SAP SE (ETR:SAPG ) which gained 1.08% to close at 199.86.

The worst performers were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG ) which was down 6.32% to 31.74 in late trade, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p ) which lost 4.73% to settle at 237.60 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:COP1n ) which was down 3.34% to 15.07 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 319 to 298 and 38 ended unchanged.

Shares in Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn ) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.99% or 0.62 to 31.80. Shares in Munich Reinsurance (ETR:MUVGn ) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.27% or 6.20 to 495.50. Shares in LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:LEGn ) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.02% or 1.76 to 88.82. Shares in Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn ) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.11% or 0.54 to 16.81. Shares in SAP SE (ETR:SAPG ) rose to all time highs; up 1.08% or 2.14 to 199.86.

The DAX volatility index , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.58% to 14.26.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.25% or 6.25 to $2,533.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.95% or 0.70 to hit $74.25 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.73% or 0.56 to trade at $77.49 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 101.62.
