Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 0.68%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology , Construction and Utilities sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX fell 0.68%, while the MDAX index fell 1.24%, and the TecDAX index fell 0.88%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:FREG ), which rose 1.88% or 0.63 points to trade at 34.23 at the close. Meanwhile, Covestro AG (ETR:1COV ) added 1.86% or 1.02 points to end at 55.94 and Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (ETR:HNKG_p ) was up 1.42% or 1.18 points to 84.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:P911_p ), which fell 4.31% or 3.22 points to trade at 71.50 at the close. Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn ) declined 3.78% or 1.24 points to end at 31.46 and Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:PSHG_p ) was down 2.86% or 1.21 points to 41.08.

The top performers on the MDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG ) which rose 2.15% to 29.46, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER ) which was up 1.31% to settle at 36.22 and Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:TKAG ) which gained 1.22% to close at 3.47.

The worst performers were Gerresheimer AG (ETR:GXIG ) which was down 18.03% to 80.00 in late trade, Traton SE (ETR:8TRA ) which lost 5.16% to settle at 29.40 and Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC ) which was down 4.71% to 129.60 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:SMHNn ) which rose 3.31% to 68.70, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG ) which was up 2.23% to settle at 6.43 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG ) which gained 2.15% to close at 29.46.

The worst performers were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn ) which was down 3.78% to 31.46 in late trade, Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:ELGG ) which lost 3.64% to settle at 66.10 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G ) which was down 3.01% to 18.05 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 410 to 227 and 35 ended unchanged.

Shares in Gerresheimer AG (ETR:GXIG ) fell to 52-week lows; down 18.03% or 17.60 to 80.00. Shares in Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER ) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.31% or 0.47 to 36.22.

The DAX volatility index , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.47% to 14.95.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.41% or 10.90 to $2,657.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.00% or 0.68 to hit $68.86 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.98% or 0.70 to trade at $72.24 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.36% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 100.33.
