GAIL shares rise 3.08% as Sensex climbs

Shares of the (India) Ltd. traded at Rs 173.85 on at 11:06AM (IST) on Thursday, up 3.08 per cent from previous close.The scrip quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 102.1 and a high of Rs 196.35.
Earlier, the stock saw a gap down opening in the morning.
A total of 347,935 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 11:06AM (IST).
The stock of (India) Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 114340.98 crore.
The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 14.18, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 1.07. Return on equity (ROE) was at 8.64 per cent, according to exchange data.
In the BSE500 pack, 423 stocks traded in the green, while 77 stocks were in the red.
Promotor Holding
Promoters held 51.9 per cent in the (India) Ltd. as of 31-Dec-2023 while overseas and domestic institutional investors owned 14.24 per cent and 19.36 per cent, respectively.
