GAIL shares decline 0.58% as Sensex climbs

Earlier, shares of the company saw a gap up opening in the morning.

The stock of (India) Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 136236.06 crore.
The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 13.76, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 1.55. Return on equity (ROE) was at 12.85 per cent, according to exchange data.
In the BSE500 pack, 274 stocks traded in the green, while 227 stocks were in the red.
Promotor Holding
Promoters held 51.9 per cent in the (India) Ltd. as of 31-Mar-2024 while foreign portfolio investors and domestic institutional investors owned 14.17 per cent and 19.56 per cent, respectively.
