F&O Ban List: Zee, PNB among 8 stocks under trade ban on Thursday

When the open interest (OI) on any stock's Futures & Options contracts surpasses 95% of the market wide position limits (MWPL), it enters a ban period. This ban is lifted only when the open interest drops below 80%.

Eight are under F&O on Thursday viz. (ABFRL), , , , , Punjab National Bank (PNB), Steel Authority of India () and Entertainment Enterprises.

The Future & Options contracts of any stock enter the ban period when the (OI) on it crosses 95% of the market wide positions limits or . The ban on it is reversed only if the open interest falls below 80%.

Traders who trade in index do not encounter a situation of security ban.

The MWPL for ABFRL stood at 83.5% on Wednesday with OI reported by at 38.6 million. It was down 1.4% from the previous session.

The MWPL for Balrampur Chini stood at 96.8% on Wednesday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 12.5million. It was down 1% from the previous session.

For , the MWPL stood at 81.9% on Wednesday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 50.6 million. It was down 0.8% from the previous session.

The MWPL for GMR Airports stood at 92.4% on Wednesday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 235.6 million. It was down 1.2% from the previous session.

The MWPL for PNB stood at 92.5% on Wednesday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 305.6 million. It was down 3% from the previous session.

The MWPL for SAIL stood at 92.2% on Wednesday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 176.1 million. It was down by 0.7% from the previous session.

The MWPL for Vodafone Idea stood at 91.7% on Wednesday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 3.5 billion. It was down 0.2% from the previous session.

The MWPL for Zee stood at 93.7% on Wednesday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 140.1 million. It was down 0.9% from the previous session.

Indian benchmark ended flat on Wednesday amid selling action in banks and IT while buying action in auto, FMCG and metal stocks. The S&P BSE Sensex ended the session at 73,466.39, down by 45.46 points or 0.06%. The broader Nifty settled at 22,302.50.
