Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.66%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare , Chemicals and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 1.66%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were GN Store Nord (CSE:GN ), which rose 3.31% or 5.30 points to trade at 164.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED ) added 3.04% or 12.10 points to end at 410.50 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa ) was up 2.40% or 230.00 points to 9,820.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA ), which fell 3.52% or 31.00 points to trade at 850.00 at the close. Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb ) declined 2.68% or 78.00 points to end at 2,832.00 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb ) was down 2.45% or 22.70 points to 904.70.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 66 to 52 and 34 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.64% or 0.45 to $69.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.57% or 0.42 to hit $73.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 3.05 to trade at $2,526.05 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.33% to 6.73, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.44% at 101.32.
