Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.00%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals , Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 1.00% to hit a new 6-months low.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV ), which rose 3.24% or 44.50 points to trade at 1,417.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb ) added 1.97% or 15.60 points to end at 807.80 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE ) was up 0.97% or 1.90 points to 197.80 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED ), which fell 3.48% or 15.40 points to trade at 426.90 at the close. Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb ) declined 1.75% or 54.00 points to end at 3,032.00 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb ) was down 1.70% or 13.60 points to 784.60.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 76 to 55 and 20 ended unchanged.

Shares in DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV ) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.24% or 44.50 to 1,417.00.

Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.40% or 0.28 to $70.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.35% or 0.26 to hit $73.82 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.82% or 21.95 to trade at $2,668.35 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.25% to 6.76, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 101.37.
