Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.69%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Healthcare and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.69%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb ), which rose 2.43% or 21.90 points to trade at 921.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb ) added 1.49% or 13.40 points to end at 914.20 and Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NSISb ) was up 1.48% or 6.50 points to 447.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were GN Store Nord (CSE:GN ), which fell 9.17% or 16.80 points to trade at 166.40 at the close. Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG ) declined 2.25% or 3.40 points to end at 147.70 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB ) was down 1.03% or 19.00 points to 1,825.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 72 to 59 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NSISb ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.48% or 6.50 to 447.00.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.88% or 1.35 to $73.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.84% or 1.40 to hit $77.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.37% or 34.95 to trade at $2,512.55 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.35% to 6.72, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 101.39.
