Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.90%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Healthcare and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.90%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb ), which rose 5.59% or 6.20 points to trade at 116.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA ) added 2.01% or 14.50 points to end at 734.50 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb ) was up 1.69% or 10.50 points to 630.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb ), which fell 5.93% or 695.00 points to trade at 11,020.00 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa ) declined 5.45% or 620.00 points to end at 10,750.00 and ISS A/S (CSE:ISS ) was down 1.87% or 2.40 points to 125.80.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 67 to 63 and 19 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.13% or 0.83 to $74.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.17% or 0.89 to hit $77.05 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.59% or 15.65 to trade at $2,688.05 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.26% to 7.25, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 109.07.
