Costco reports mixed Q4 results as revenue falls short of estimates

Investing -- Costco reported Thursday mixed fiscal fourth-quarter results as earnings beat but revenue fell short of analyst estimates.

Costco Wholesale Corp (NASDAQ:COST ) was less than 1% lower in aftermarket hours.

Costco Wholesale reported fiscal Q4 earnings of $5.29 a share on revenue of $79.69 billion, compared with estimates for $5.08 and revenue of $79.93B. 

Adjusted comparable sales in the quarter were 6.9%, with the U.S., Canada, and international growth at 6.3%, 7.9% and 9.3%, respectively.   

E-commerce adjusted comparable sales were up 19.5% in the quarter.
