Colombia stocks lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.51%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials , Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.51%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH ), which rose 2.08% or 1,220.00 points to trade at 60,000.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS ) added 1.31% or 400.00 points to end at 30,900.00 and Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO ) was up 0.26% or 5.00 points to 1,930.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE ), which fell 6.81% or 760.00 points to trade at 10,400.00 at the close. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:BVC ) declined 4.49% or 480.00 points to end at 10,200.00 and Bancolombia SA (BVC:BIC ) was down 2.84% or 1,060.00 points to 36,300.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH ) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.08% or 1,220.00 to 60,000.00. Shares in Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE ) fell to all time lows; down 6.81% or 760.00 to 10,400.00.

US coffee C for December delivery was up 3.78% or 8.93 to $244.93 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 5.25% or 372.00 to hit $7,453.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 11.00 to trade at $2,535.60 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.04% to 4,211.26, while BRL/COP rose 1.28% to 753.89.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 101.61.
