Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate , Consumption and Public Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa rose 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Cogna Educacao SA (BVMF:COGN3 ), which rose 6.77% or 0.09 points to trade at 1.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Ez Tec SA (BVMF:EZTC3 ) added 6.71% or 0.93 points to end at 14.78 and YDUQS Participacoes SA (BVMF:YDUQ3 ) was up 6.30% or 0.61 points to 10.29 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were JBS SA (BVMF:JBSS3 ), which fell 3.59% or 1.30 points to trade at 34.91 at the close. BRF SA (BVMF:BRFS3 ) declined 2.29% or 0.59 points to end at 25.12 and Vale SA (BVMF:VALE3 ) was down 1.85% or 1.08 points to 57.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 602 to 337 and 51 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 23.34% to 31.65.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.18% or 29.80 to $2,546.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.60% or 1.90 to hit $74.91 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 1.42% or 3.45 to trade at $246.35 .
USD/BRL was down 1.70% to 5.49, while EUR/BRL fell 1.24% to 6.13.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.81% at 100.58.
