Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials , Industrials and Consumption sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 0.32% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Cvc Brasil ON (BVMF:CVCB3 ), which rose 13.73% or 0.28 points to trade at 2.32 at the close. Meanwhile, Pet Center Comercio e Partcipacoes (BVMF:PETZ3 ) added 7.48% or 0.36 points to end at 5.17 and CSN Mineracao SA (BVMF:CMIN3 ) was up 4.75% or 0.25 points to 5.51 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF:ASAI3 ), which fell 3.33% or 0.34 points to trade at 9.88 at the close. Cogna Educacao SA (BVMF:COGN3 ) declined 2.82% or 0.04 points to end at 1.38 and Dexco SA (BVMF:DXCO3 ) was down 2.17% or 0.18 points to 8.12.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 542 to 393 and 61 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 4.74% to 24.33.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.04% or 0.95 to $2,549.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.68% or 1.23 to hit $71.94 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 0.01% or 0.02 to trade at $248.48 .
USD/BRL was up 0.17% to 5.49, while EUR/BRL rose 0.17% to 6.11.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 101.07.
