Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Real Estate , Electric Power and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were CTEEP Cia de Transmissao de Energia (BVMF:TRPL4 ), which rose 5.34% or 1.27 points to trade at 25.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF:ASAI3 ) added 2.31% or 0.15 points to end at 6.65 and Prio SA (BVMF:PRIO3 ) was up 2.70% or 1.18 points to 44.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azul SA Pref (BVMF:AZUL4 ), which fell 5.99% or 0.37 points to trade at 5.81 at the close. Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (BVMF:CSNA3 ) declined 2.47% or 0.30 points to end at 11.84 and Natura & Co SA (BVMF:NTCO3 ) was down 2.20% or 0.34 points to 15.12.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 516 to 385 and 69 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 14.47% to 35.53 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.82% or 21.65 to $2,647.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.07% or 2.25 to hit $75.49 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 1.95% or 4.87 to trade at $254.92 .
USD/BRL was down 0.19% to 5.58, while EUR/BRL unchanged 0.08% to 6.11.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 102.64.
