Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking , Telecoms and Basic Metals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.67%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV ), which rose 6.33% or 2.96 points to trade at 49.74 at the close. Meanwhile, Astor Enerji AS (IS:ASTOR ) added 4.25% or 3.35 points to end at 82.15 and Kayseri Seker Fabrikasi AS (IS:KAYSE ) was up 3.49% or 0.82 points to 24.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN ), which fell 7.24% or 35.50 points to trade at 454.50 at the close. Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS ) declined 4.33% or 0.53 points to end at 11.71 and Teknosa Ic ve Dis Ticaret AS (IS:TKNSA ) was down 4.05% or 1.14 points to 27.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 399 to 163 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.01% or 0.20 to $2,542.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.89% or 1.31 to hit $67.84 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.80% or 1.31 to trade at $71.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.33% to 34.03, while EUR/TRY rose 0.05% to 37.74.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 101.08.
