Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Sports , Banking and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.58% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK ), which rose 9.98% or 15.20 points to trade at 167.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN ) added 6.16% or 28.25 points to end at 486.50 and Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV ) was up 2.74% or 1.40 points to 52.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER ), which fell 7.99% or 8.25 points to trade at 94.95 at the close. Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK ) declined 5.44% or 8.00 points to end at 139.00 and Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY ) was down 5.13% or 11.90 points to 220.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 420 to 145 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.30% or 8.15 to $2,738.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.54% or 1.06 to hit $69.75 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.25% or 0.91 to trade at $73.97 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.80% to 34.26, while EUR/TRY fell 0.15% to 37.12.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 103.71.
