Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Sports , Basic Metals and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Agrotech Yuksek Teknoloji ve Yatirim AS (IS:AGROT ), which rose 9.93% or 1.15 points to trade at 12.73 at the close. Meanwhile, Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK ) added 8.49% or 0.36 points to end at 4.60 and Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF ) was up 4.72% or 10.50 points to 233.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER ), which fell 9.97% or 11.40 points to trade at 103.00 at the close. Limak Dogu Anadolu Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:LMKDC ) declined 5.46% or 1.48 points to end at 25.64 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN ) was down 3.75% or 0.92 points to 23.62.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 313 to 239 and 26 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.38% or 10.11 to $2,652.71 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.87% or 0.60 to hit $69.54 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.77% or 0.56 to trade at $73.04 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.31% to 34.65, while EUR/TRY rose 0.13% to 36.35.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 106.94.
