Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking , Food & Beverages and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.94% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS ), which rose 9.80% or 0.34 points to trade at 3.81 at the close. Meanwhile, Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES ) added 8.38% or 16.40 points to end at 212.00 and MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK ) was up 6.91% or 24.75 points to 383.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL ), which fell 2.97% or 2.85 points to trade at 93.15 at the close. Girisim Elektrik Taahhut Ticaret & Sanayi AS (IS:GESAN ) declined 2.61% or 1.30 points to end at 48.60 and Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR ) was down 2.28% or 1.12 points to 47.94.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 388 to 167 and 23 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.01% or 27.00 to $2,701.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.84% or 0.59 to hit $70.69 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.58% or 0.43 to trade at $74.66 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.25% to 34.54, while EUR/TRY fell 0.64% to 36.00.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 107.50.
