Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 0.66%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Insurance , Telecoms and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.66%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Adel Kalemcilik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:ADEL ), which rose 6.88% or 2.42 points to trade at 37.62 at the close. Meanwhile, Peker Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:PEKGY ) added 6.49% or 0.10 points to end at 1.64 and Girisim Elektrik Taahhut Ticaret & Sanayi AS (IS:GESAN ) was up 6.03% or 2.85 points to 50.15 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK ), which fell 3.80% or 15.75 points to trade at 398.25 at the close. Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI ) declined 3.28% or 67.00 points to end at 1,975.00 and Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY ) was down 3.13% or 9.25 points to 286.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 420 to 139 and 19 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.21% or 32.69 to $2,676.71 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.93% or 0.65 to hit $70.67 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.74% or 0.54 to trade at $73.95 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.23% to 34.95, while EUR/TRY rose 0.48% to 36.69.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 106.75.
