Taiwan stocks lower at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted down 0.53%

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , Machinery and Paper & Pulp sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted lost 0.53%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101 ), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, RichWave Technology Corp (TW:4968 ) added 10.00% or 17.00 points to end at 187.00 and Acbel Polytech Inc (TW:6282 ) was up 9.95% or 3.05 points to 33.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:2443 ), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Coxon Precise Industrial Co Ltd (TW:3607 ) declined 9.31% or 1.95 points to end at 19.00 and Everlight Electronics Co Ltd (TW:2393 ) was down 7.43% or 6.10 points to 76.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101 ) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50.

Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.70% or 0.48 to $67.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.59% or 0.43 to hit $71.85 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.86% or 22.20 to trade at $2,564.30 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was up 0.35% to 32.58, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 106.56.
