Taiwan stocks lower at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted down 0.03%

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , Glass and Machinery sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted declined 0.03%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101 ), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Onano Industrial Corp (TW:6405 ) added 9.97% or 4.40 points to end at 48.55 and Orient Semiconductor Electronics Ltd (TW:2329 ) was up 9.96% or 3.95 points to 43.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:2443 ), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Jui Li Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:1512 ) declined 6.10% or 0.48 points to end at 7.39 and C Sun Manufacturing Ltd (TW:2467 ) was down 5.95% or 13.50 points to 213.50.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101 ) rose to 3-years highs; rising 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50. Shares in Onano Industrial Corp (TW:6405 ) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 9.97% or 4.40 to 48.55.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.07% or 0.76 to $71.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.93% or 0.70 to hit $75.66 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 12.40 to trade at $2,741.80 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was down 0.07% to 32.06, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.14% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 104.20.
