Taiwan stocks higher at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted up 0.67%

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Other Electronic , Electronic Parts/Components and Computers & Peripherals sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted added 0.67%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101 ), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Bridge Electech Inc (TW:6133 ) added 10.00% or 2.20 points to end at 24.20 and Rectron Ltd (TW:2302 ) was up 10.00% or 1.75 points to 19.25 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:2443 ), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Zero One Technology Co Ltd (TW:3029 ) declined 9.05% or 10.00 points to end at 100.50 and Kung Sing Engineering Corp (TW:5521 ) was down 6.11% or 0.80 points to 12.30.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101 ) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50.

Crude oil for December delivery was down 4.68% or 3.36 to $68.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 4.50% or 3.40 to hit $72.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 4.05 to trade at $2,750.55 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was up 0.05% to 32.10, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 104.38.
