Taiwan stocks higher at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted up 0.24%

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Glass , Transport and Optoelectronic sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted gained 0.24% to hit a new 3-months high.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101 ), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Favite Inc (TW:3535 ) added 10.00% or 5.30 points to end at 58.30 and Anderson Industrial Corp (TW:1528 ) was up 10.00% or 1.65 points to 18.15 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:2443 ), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Iron Force Industrial Co Ltd (TW:2228 ) declined 4.90% or 6.00 points to end at 116.50 and JSL Construction & Development Co Ltd (TW:2540 ) was down 4.38% or 4.30 points to 93.80.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101 ) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50. Shares in Anderson Industrial Corp (TW:1528 ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 10.00% or 1.65 to 18.15.

Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.34% or 0.24 to $69.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.36% or 0.27 to hit $74.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 5.80 to trade at $2,744.70 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was down 0.29% to 32.04, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.36% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 103.76.
