Taiwan stocks higher at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted up 0.12%

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Rubber , Optoelectronic and Transport sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted rose 0.12%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101 ), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Advancetek Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:1442 ) added 10.00% or 6.50 points to end at 71.50 and Bestec Power Electronics Co Ltd (TW:3308 ) was up 10.00% or 2.35 points to 25.85 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Onano Industrial Corp (TW:6405 ), which fell 9.92% or 4.90 points to trade at 44.50 at the close. Lead Data Inc (TW:2443 ) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Chia Ta World Co Ltd (TW:2033 ) was down 6.70% or 1.80 points to 25.05.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101 ) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.12% or 0.08 to $67.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.18% or 0.13 to hit $71.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 16.60 to trade at $2,586.70 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was up 0.25% to 32.56, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.04% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 106.64.
