Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 2.58%
The Nifty Realty index closed 2.58 per cent down at 924.85.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Wednesday.Shares of Swan Energy Ltd.(up 0.3 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(up 0.08 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 4.44 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 3.85 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 3.25 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.86 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 1.85 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 2.58 per cent down at 924.85.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 18.65 points at 22434.65, while the BSE Sensex stood down 27.09 points at 73876.82.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 ended in the green, while 31 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, PNB, Infibeam Avenues and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of J G Chemicals, Goa Carbons, Advani Hotels, Indian Metals and DJ Mediaprint & Logi hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Gopal Snacks, Mask Investments, GIR Natureview, BDR Buildcon and IndInfravit Trust hit their fresh 52-week lows.
