Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.03% in a weak market

Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 3.33 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 2.06 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.81 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 1.38 per cent) and Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 1.03 per cent at 999.55 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 177.91 points at 22710.25, while the BSE Sensex was down 600.8 points at 74569.65.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 were trading in the green, while 38 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, RattanIndia Power, NHPC, YES Bank and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Excel Realty N Infra, Grindwell Norton, Paras Defence, JITF Infralogistics and IRIS Business Services hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Monte Carlo Fashion, Revathi Equipment, Osia Hyper Retail, Priti International and Signpost India hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
