Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.61% in a weak market

Sobha Ltd.(down 2.58 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 2.2 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 2.15 per cent), Swan Energy Ltd.(down 1.69 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 1.02 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.61 per cent at 946.55 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 119.66 points at 22399.75, while the BSE Sensex was down 428.17 points at 73816.73.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SAIL, NHPC and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Senco Gold, Par Drugs & Chemical, Selan Expl Tech, Aster DM Health and Ashiana Housing hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Infomedia Press, Penta Gold, MEP Infrastructure, Best Agrolife and SRM Contractors hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
