Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.59% in a weak market

Sobha Ltd.(down 4.98 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 4.02 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 2.0 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.78 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.37 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.59 per cent at 998.9 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 6.21 points at 22495.8, while the BSE Sensex was down 131.9 points at 73874.04.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, RattanIndia Power, BEL, Indian Railway Fin and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of GRP Ltd, Bharat Bijlee, Rolex Rings, Elgi Rubber Co and Poddar Pigments hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Revathi Equip, Premier Ltd, Morarjee Text, Sintex Plastics Tech and Digicontent hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
