Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.31% in an upbeat market

Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 3.36 per cent), Swan Energy Ltd.(down 1.1 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.66 per cent) and Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 0.65 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.31 per cent at 893.0 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 234.25 points at 22357.9, while the BSE Sensex was up 781.94 points at 73778.25.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 45 were trading in the green, while 5 were in the red.

Shares of IDFC First Bank, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Dynacons Sys, Onelife Capital, Century Texttiles, JTEKT India and Wonder Fibromats hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Bohra Industries, Marshall Machines, Sanco Industries, SVP Global and SAB Events & Governa hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
