Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.3% in a weak market

Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 2.4 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 2.25 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.2 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(down 0.02 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.3 per cent at 960.45 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 40.55 points at 22529.8, while the BSE Sensex was down 138.04 points at 74201.4.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, GMR Infra, SAIL and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Kirloskar Ind, Dolat Invst, Premier Exp, Firstsource and Kirloskar Pneumatic hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Atal Realtech, Radaan Media, 8K Miles Soft, Simplex Infra and Zodiac Energy hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
