Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 2.53%
The Nifty Realty index closed 2.53 per cent up at 1000.8.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.Shares of Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 8.69 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 5.72 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 4.34 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 3.27 per cent) and Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 1.54 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.55 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 1.17 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 0.54 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 0.12 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 2.53 per cent up at 1000.8.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 735.85 points at 22620.35, while the BSE Sensex stood up 2303.19 points at 74382.24.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 50 ended in the green, while 0 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, BEL, NHPC and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Heritage Foods, Bhagiradha Chem, Aditya Birla Retail, TCNS Clothing and Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vaxtex Cotfab, Morarjee Text, Revathi Equipment, Suumaya Lifestyle and Palred Technologies hit their fresh 52-week lows.
