Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.16% in an upbeat market

Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.89 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 0.64 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(down 0.52 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(down 0.12 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 1.16 per cent at 1016.35 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 9.96 points at 22539.0, while the BSE Sensex was up 69.19 points at 74022.5.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, NHPC, YES Bank, IRB Infra Dev. and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Tainwala Chem, GeeCee Ventures, Ausom Enterprise, Alicon Castalloy and PNC Infratech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Revathi Equip, Brightcom Group, Regency Ceramic, Sinclairs Hotel and GSS Infotech hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
