Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.94% in an upbeat market

Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.34 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.24 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.12 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(down 0.05 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.94 per cent at 1057.6 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 153.75 points at 22975.15, while the BSE Sensex was up 505.56 points at 75580.07.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, RattanIndia Power, IRB Infra Dev. and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Cords Cable Ind, HPL Electric Power, AdityaBirlaMoney, Avanti Feeds and PG Electroplast hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Integra Garment, Visagar Polytex, Compuage Infocom, Future Enterprises (DVR)and Supreme Engineering hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
