Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.4% in an upbeat market

Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 1.16 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.85 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 0.21 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.01 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.4 per cent at 976.55 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 118.85 points at 22767.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 344.52 points at 74955.63.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, BHEL, NHPC and IFCI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Ajanta Pharma, Arrow Greentech, Taj GVK Hotels, BHEL and Inox India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Adroit Infotech (PP), GI Engineering, Cambridge Tech, Mittal Life Style and Inventure Grwth hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
