Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.45% in a weak market

Lupin Ltd.(down 3.18 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 2.45 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 2.05 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(down 1.31 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.22 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.45 per cent at 19116.75 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 49.3 points at 22393.4, while the BSE Sensex was down 208.2 points at 73687.34.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC, PNB and Marico were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Selan Expl Tech, Allsec Tech, Bigbloc Const, Balmer Lawrie and Steel City Securitie hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Flexituff Ventures, GI Engineering, Stampede Cap, Atal Realtech and Shree Vasu Logistics hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
