Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.26% in a weak market

Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.48 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(down 0.94 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(down 0.86 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 0.66 per cent) and Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.5 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.26 per cent at 20401.15 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 23.1 points at 24300.75, while the BSE Sensex was down 102.74 points at 79893.86.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Indian Railway Fin, Vodafone Idea, Rail Vikas Nigam and Indian Renewable were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Alphageo , Rail Vikas Nigam, Suven Life Sci, Landmark Prop and GE Shipping hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while CMI Ltd, Brightcom Group, Nandani Creation, Shree Ram Proteins and Alps Industries hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
