Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.24% in a weak market
The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.24 per cent down at 18801.8.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:24AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.Biocon Ltd.(up 2.12 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.31 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(up 1.14 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(up 0.71 per cent) and J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.37 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 3.08 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 2.04 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(down 0.9 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 0.75 per cent) and Sanofi India Ltd.(down 0.7 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.24 per cent at 18801.8 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 89.66 points at 22212.85, while the BSE Sensex was down 350.93 points at 73160.92.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC, REC and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Transwarr Fin, IRIS Business Servic, Ajooni Biotech Ltd., Arvind Ltd and Allsec Tech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Medico Remedies, Twentyfirst Cent, Silly Monks Entertai, TN Telecom and Shanti Overseas(Ind hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
