Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.21% in a weak market

Laurus Labs Ltd.(down 1.71 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.32 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 1.29 per cent) and Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.93 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.21 per cent at 19176.85 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 31.96 points at 22935.7, while the BSE Sensex was down 88.6 points at 75329.44.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indian Railway Fin, NHPC and Rail Vikas Nigam were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of JohnsonCtrls Hitachi, Finolex Cables, Bharat Dynamics, Welspun Ent and G M Breweries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Revathi Equipment, Mask Investments, Melstar Info, Gujarat Lease and Peria Karamalai Tea hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
