The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.19 per cent down at 19182.3.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.Shares of Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.14 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(up 1.05 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.77 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.24 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.18 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 3.19 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(down 3.16 per cent), Sanofi India Ltd.(down 2.45 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(down 1.82 per cent) and Pfizer Ltd.(down 1.59 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.19 per cent down at 19182.3.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 23.55 points at 22642.75, while the BSE Sensex stood down 58.8 points at 74683.7.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 ended in the green, while 32 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SAIL, Tata Steel and Hind Copper were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Puravankara, Premier Exp, Eldeco Housing, Hindustan Zinc and TPL Plastech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SRM Contractors, Madhya Bharat Agro, Gopal Snacks, GIR Natureview and BDR Buildcon hit their fresh 52-week lows.
