Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.98% in an upbeat market

Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 0.06 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.98 per cent at 19182.9 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 185.05 points at 22511.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 532.04 points at 74183.39.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 47 were trading in the green, while 3 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Steel, Indian Railway Fin and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Onelife Capital, Action Const., Nupur Recyclers, Triveni Turbine and BASF India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Compuage Infocom, Lakshmi Precis, Penta Gold, Creative Eye and Latteys Industries hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
