Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.2% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.2 per cent up at 19257.55.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 10:34AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.43 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(up 0.87 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.8 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(up 0.63 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.38 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 3.86 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(down 1.44 per cent), GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.62 per cent), Sanofi India Ltd.(down 0.49 per cent) and Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.48 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.2 per cent at 19257.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 85.91 points at 22752.2, while the BSE Sensex was up 322.0 points at 75064.5.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Exide Inds., Hind Copper and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Premier Exp, Mindteck India, Puravankara, TPL Plastech and Arvee Laboratories hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SRM Contractors, Gopal Snacks, Keerti Knowledge, Williamson Magor and ABM International L hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
